Spray For Repelling Spiders

The flowers are blooming and the gardens are growing and what does that mean for you.....spiders are a comin.....:) My husband and I are trying to do more natural means in our healthcare and I have starting to use some essential oils. In my research of essential oils I have been surprised on the other ways that essential oils can be used. They seem to be great for cleaning and repelling all those little irritants.....bugs and spiders.

This is a spray that I read about that uses peppermint oil. It calls for 50 drops so I don't think you would want to use Do Terra oils, but I am sure you can find a less expensive one. :)

spider spray

What you will need:

4 oz aluminum or glass spray bottle...(never use plastic!)

Pure peppermint essential oil - 50 drops

4 oz of distilled water

How to make it:

Mix all together in the empty spray bottle, shake well and spray around the window and door frames every two weeks, or more often if needed. Peppermint spray is also safe to use on your clothes and linens and does not leave any stain. Always check for staining in a small hidden area before spraying the whole item or area to be sure.

Give this try and see if it works. I don't have very many spiders up here so I may not be able to use this one, but I do get lots of mosquito's! LOL! Hey....better see if there is an oil for mosquito's...I will check it out and let you know. :)

Enjoy your day!

Colleen :)
